From village fete to mud-filled full-on festival, Devizine covers events across the South-West of England with news and features. Music has, and always will be our mainstay. We support our local live music scene by reviewing upcoming artists and their music. This puts in touch with so many talented people I could lose track quite easily!

During lockdown we threw open our borders, reviewing music we like worldwide. Yet still, individual albums and singles remain divided, until now. I wanted to create a compilation, showcasing as much as we can of all the talent we’ve covered. So, I asked artists if they would contribute one song to highlight their work, and I’ve been overwhelmed by the response.

For your pounds you’ll get a staggering 46 tracks of pure genre-bending gold. My personal tastes are eclectic, but I hope there’s lots for everyone to enjoy, from folk and roots, to blues and rock, from indie-pop and punk to ska and reggae. Tempted? But you’ve not heard the best bit yet!

All proceeds of this album will go to fundraising for Julia’s House. Julia’s House provides practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, providing frequent and regular support in their own homes, in the community or at their hospices across Wiltshire and Dorset. I am so pleased the album is supporting this worthy charity.
